Back in CDO now

Our visit to Davao was great.  Ea spent quite a good while with Lolo and Lola.  Every morning, Lolo (my dad) takes the little one to his garden to see butterflies and flowers.  And Lola (my mommy) lets her play “stand and walk” on the wooden bench by the window.  I guess Ea was looking for those morning rituals when we returned home after 3 weeks.  She was a bit grumpy and anxious but she easily eased out after her Daddy Jeedo took her to rounds of playtimes and kwagees.

The reason why our bakasyon to Davao was cut short is because of the upcoming COSPLAY this 16th.  It’s a general assembly and our team is organizing the event.  Modesty aside, our department happens to be a talent pool so we’ll have a band to play and sing anime songs.  One of the numbers will be me playing the keyboards while singing Houki Boshi, Bleach’s 3rd ending.  Jeedo’s playing the drums too.  I’ll be wearing Android 18 of Dragon Ball Z costume while Jeedo’s gonna be Kakashi Hatake, naruto’s sensei.  I’ll post pix of the events after the event.

Glad to help?

A travel agent looked up from his desk to see an old lady and an old gentleman peering in the shop window at the posters showing the glamorous destinations around the world. The agent had experienced a good week and the dejected couple looking in the window gave him a rare feeling of generosity. He called them into his office and said, “I know that on your pension you could never hope to have a holiday, so I am sending you off to a fabulous resort at my expense, and I won’t take no for an answer.” He took them inside and asked his secretary to write two flight tickets and book a room in a five-star hotel. They, as can be expected, gladly accepted, and were off! About a month later, the little old lady came in to his shop. “And how did you like your holiday?” he asked eagerly. “The flight was exciting and the room was lovely,” she said. “I’m here to thank you, but one thing puzzled me. Who was that old guy I had to share the room with?”

The Lolo’s Prayer

“…thank you Lord for this family, for all the blessings you have given us. I’m always happy and grateful when they are around. Thank you for my loving children and grandchildren. May you give me MORE grandchildren. In Jesus name, Amen”

And we all replied. AMEN!

This was my father’s prayer when we had our family gathering last week. All 4 of my brothers and their families were there. We were all giggling as our dear Daddy was uttering that prayer. It was amusingly heartfelt, I should say. My parents are practically alone in our “used-to-be full packed” home. Although our youngest brother still lives with them, it’s obvious that mum and dad miss their other six kids each day. My dad is a loner, emotional type who would weep when his kids (especially his daughters ) pack up and leave home. I remember the sad look on his face when I left to live someplace else. I know he didn’t want me to go but he let me anyway.

Thanks to my brothers who stayed in the same city with them and can visit home anytime. Some of my nephews and nieces get to visit and entertain their Lolo on weekends. But Lolo seemed to want more little tikes around ^_^ I wonder who among his kids would God use to grant him that…

Setting off for home

Davao Here I Come!

Hello guys!

I’ll be off to Davao in an hour. Just wrapping up some work stuff here in the office.. will be there for 5 days or so.. just can’t leave the job huuuhuhhuu I wish I could take all the task home and work from there.. but.. well, maybe soon when I have someone to assist me ^_^..

Chige, am buying pastel pah.. and some bank payments to do .. >.<

But before I go, let me show you a site I found. At first glance, I thought the girl on the main page was Sarah Michelle Gellar hahaha! It’s actually a website of Dr. Russel W.H. Kridel, a specialist in Today’s Face Texas plastic surgery clinic. I believe he excels on his field considering that he is often invited to speak at Medical gatherings worldwide. Pay a visit to his site, okay? :)
